These cloths are a plain (tabby) weave and they are woven from 100% pure new English wool. This cloth is similar to traditional Flannel and Kersey cloths (somewhere between the two in fact) and is lightly felted. The cloth weighs approximately 350 grams per square metre or 11 oz per square yard and is 30 inches (76 cm) wide.
It is suitable for all sorts of projects such as doublets, bodices, breeches, skirts, trousers, hose, gowns and coats etc. where a softer, lighter material than the heavy weight cloths is wanted.
